Review on a blessed Easter / Thanksgiving
I want to thank God for the many blessings He has been giving during the past days. I just notice that He is so eager to bless us if we open up to listen and to receive from Him. On friday I had a flat tire while cycling to the hospital to visit a friend that had a brest-recovery operation, but it was not far from home. So I could easily walk back under the blue sky and get my scooter. When I arrived there they told me they did not such operations anymore and that I had to go to the hospital in Goes, but then I drove to a friend in the neighbourhood. She made a phonecall to the hospital to verify if my friend was in the hospital in my hometown and it seemed they made a communication error, so I drove back again. My friend really looked strong and was self-assured to be back home the next day, the saturday before Easter. So I had a good talk with her and her sister and niece and we enjoyed an icecream together. In the evening I enjoyed a very nice quiet time in Berea (the church). I was sitting on a mattress on the floor to read one of the present bibles and a little girl came there to join me with hers. She pointed me on the drawings of Jesus at the cross in her book and we rode together from John 19. Then I had ''''the Lord''''s supper'''' with her and her mum and she even prayed with us. Her pure and sincere words reallt touched my heart. On Easter sunday a hughe preach about charity and the good care for the widows and orphans. I really was touched and blessed by this again! (Psalm 68, Luc.14:12-14, en Micha 6:8) I like to phrase Mica 6:8 - ''''He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what the Lord require of you. But to do justly, To love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?''''
In the afternoon I went to town to visit a fashion show, but when I asked for it to the waiter on a terrace, he told me it was there the day before. What a pitty..but then I heared a voice which sounded very familiar to me. A friend of mine from 23 years ago sat there on the terrace with her mum and I joined them. I took my coffee from the other table and we had a good talk about our activities and I shared my peronal story about my brain operation and recovery, my divorce, my visit to Uganda and How God all blessed it. She also shared a part of her story and told me she works on the Africa-department of a travel agency. When they had to go I visited the Easter Market at the sea and met another friend and her husband. We enjoyed the time walking and talking there. On monday I walked with a friend and our dogs for two hours on the beach to let swim and let play our dogs. They were doing wonderfull together and we had a good ice-tea and tomato juice and churros when we were back on the boulevard. Then we met the manager of the foundation for affordable travels for people living at the social minimum and he offered us both a drink and a meal. This was really a big surpise for us and we really enjoyed it. It really felt like holiday siiting there eating and drinking a wine and watching fisher boats to leave the shore for the night catch. We already had a big fish received from our God and I praise Him for that. At eleven p.m. we and our dogs were droven back home, while still wearing my sunglasses...so much light of Jesus at once we nearly could not bear it and it only will get stronger! Hallelujah! Thanks Lord and thanks friends for all your blessings you gave me, give me and still are going to be given. It really motivates me to keep on blessing others too!
